Welcome to the MN Outdoor Youth Expo! Thank you to all who visited this years Youth Expo. Our intention was to get kids interested and reacquainted with the outdoors and all it has to offer. We believe based on all the positive comments we heard that this event was a success. However, we would love to hear your feedback! Take our survey! See our 2010 Photos Get your family outside and meet over 60 outdoor organizations, experts and educators. Activities for kids of all ages will include horse drawn hay wagon rides, laser shooting and firearm safety, a mock pheasant hunt, archery, casting, fly tying, birds of prey demonstrations, bird & fish identification, nature walks, geocaching, ATV rider safety education, canoeing, kayaking, water safety education, dog handling and training, farm animal education, bicycling safety and demonstrations. Kids may also try their hand at various sports such as climbing, golfing, lacrosse, basketball, hockey, and baseball. Educational seminars and demonstrations are scheduled throughout the event including an appearance each day by Rich Wieber who incorporates bicycle safety into his exciting stunt show. Visitors may choose to come for a few hours or stay for the day, but should plan to wear their walking shoes as the expo is laid out completely outdoors over 65 acres of wooded trails and open fields. More than 60 exhibitors will be at the event to include the MN DNR, John Glen Cadet Archery, Kicking Bear Camp, YMCA Camps, 4H, Future Farmers of America (FFA), Bunker Park Stables, Walton’s Hollow Petting Zoo, Benson Airport’s Young Eagles, Wildlife Science Center, Pheasants Forever, MN Duck & Goose Callers Association, Ducks Unlimited, Trout Unlimited, Wood Duck Society, Russel’s Online Retrievers, Wings North, CR Trail Users Association, Gander Mountain, Wild Mountain, the MN Wild, the MN Timber Wolves, the MN Swarm, and the National Guard just to name a few. DATES/HOURS: Saturday, May 22nd, 9:00 A.M. to 6:00 P.M. Sunday, May 23rd, 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. Event Entry Fee: $5.00 per Adult - Kids are FREE (under 16) FREE Parking Activities at the Expo will be FREE or at a minimal cost. Food Concessions will be available for purchase. Children under 13 are expected to be accompanied by a parent or guardian to be admitted to the Youth Expo.
DIRECTIONS: Wild Wings Hunt Club is conveniently located just 15 miles northeast of St. Paul. ADDRESS: 9491 152nd St. N., Hugo, MN 55038* *When using internet maps or navigation, our address takes you to our North Gates. Please follow signs going west on 152nd street to Irish Avenue South to the main gate entrance. *Construction will begin on the 35E & CR-14 overpass bridge in April 2010 thru June 2010. An alternate route exit CR J East/Right to Otter Lake Rd North/Left to CR-14 East/Right and continue as bullet two below directs.
